KONDA Research has been conducting a series of political and social surveys under the name BAROMETRE every month since 2010. In addition to the standard questions on demographic characteristics, political preferences and economic expectations that we regularly ask in each BAROMETRE survey, we also ask questions about the public's perspective on the issues that are on the public agenda at the time and to measure their perceptions and expectations in different areas. The research, which is the basis of this report, the 164th in the Barometer research series, was conducted on May 3-4, 2025 by face-to-face interviews with 1757 people in their households in 108 neighborhoods and villages of 70 districts, including the central districts of 27 provinces.
In this month's survey, in the context of the Year of the Family declared by President Erdoğan and the accompanying debates, we examined the plans for marriage and having children as well as perceptions and attitudes towards family life. We analyzed whether the interviewees have marriage and starting a family in their future plans, which ceremonies and celebrations they will perform when they get married, and their practices and values regarding family life.
