Age Discrimination Index of Turkish Society

SUMMARY

Who is subjected to age-based discrimination in society is evaluated through five situations/experiences asked to the interviewees:

• I have not been promoted at my job because of my age.
• I have been mistreated because of my age.
• I was not hired for a job for which I had sufficient skills because of my age.
• My opinion was not taken seriously on a subject I was knowledgeable about because of my age.
• Some people assumed that I did not understand technology well because of my age.
