Özet

As we leave the year behind, we wanted to take stock of how KONDA Barometer spent the year 2024. Since March 2010, KONDA Barometer has been measuring social undercurrents in addition to political preferences. Since then, KONDA Barometer has covered issues such as the Kurdish issue, the Alevi issue, the secular-religious dichotomy, women's rights, the climate crisis, the migrant/asylum-seeker problem, the earthquake, youth, and aging, in a chart of events consisting of turning points such as the Solution Process, Gezi Park, the Transition to the Presidential System, the July 15 Coup Attempt, the Coronavirus Pandemic and the February 6 Earthquakes.

KONDA Barometer measures how the society reacts to current developments, how these reactions differ among the socio-demographic clusters that make up the society, and whether these reactions produce a social pattern similar to polarization. We have structured our reports based on our research in a way that enables us to thoroughly analyze perceptions, attitudes and expectations towards current developments.

Throughout 2024, we aimed to maintain and improve the quality of the contact enabled by our research method, which is based on representative surveys, trend tracking and face-to-face interviews as constructed by KONDA Barometer since 2010, and to enrich the content of KONDA Barometer with new models.

We wish you enjoyable reading.
