Developments and Possibilities Regarding the Election and Election Calendar

ÖZET

The section addresses both official developments and the possibilities surrounding the elections. As of today, the main uncertainty regarding the elections concerns the formation of electoral alliances and how the decision of the parties within these alliances to run on joint lists or independently will affect the voting process and the composition of parliament. For this reason, Naci Koru’s article published on March 28, 2023, in Yetkin Report is referenced. Koru’s article discusses, through eight questions, how the policies of electoral alliances might influence the voting process. The section also presents the election calendar announced by the Supreme Election Council and the developments that have unfolded in line with this calendar to date.
