In September, the inflation expectation for the coming 12 months rose by 7 points compared to July, reaching 90 percent. This increase was particularly pronounced among rural and urban residents, white-collar workers, university graduates, individuals aged 51 and older, and retirees. Additionally, inflation expectations rose by 14 points among those who stated they would not vote if faced with a choice between Özgür Özel and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. While inflation expectations were higher among those anticipating an economic crisis in Türkiye or economic hardships in their own lives over the next three months, a more marked increase compared to July was observed in groups that did not anticipate such crises or hardships. Regarding preferences for the country's future, inflation expectations remained higher among those who advocated for a "humane society" compared to other groups.
