SUMMARY

The report, published with the theme “Negative party identity in Turkey”, examines the dynamics of negative identification on the axis of political parties and presidential candidates in a broad perspective. Additionally, the report examines political preferences in Turkey and public opinion regarding the sentence imposed on Ekrem İmamoğlu. It explores public perception and attitudes toward current politics, including the Pençe-Kilit military operation and occasional restrictions on internet and social media access. Based on the 15-29 age group, the rates of young people who are neither in education nor employment (NEET) in Turkey are examined by compiling data from the last three years of the KONDA Barometer. Finally, a comprehensive analysis of the current state of Turkey's social structure is presented, using cultural data such as important events on the social agenda in 2022 and book reading habits.

KONDA Research has been conducting a series of political and social surveys under the name BAROMETER every month since 2010. In addition to the standard questions on demographic characteristics, political preferences and economic expectations that we regularly ask in each BAROMETER survey, we also ask questions about the public's perspective on the issues that are on the public agenda at the time and to measure their perceptions and expectations in different areas. The research, which is the 137th in the Barometer research series, was conducted on December 3-4, 2022 in 185 neighborhoods and villages of 112 districts, including the central districts of 32 provinces, by face-to-face interviews with 3671 people in their households.
